The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves played a very exciting game on Friday evening at the Target Center. These two teams have had some great matchups over the years, including in the Western Conference semifinals last season.

Minnesota defeated the Nuggets in seven games last season, and Denver came into this game hoping to pick up a win over their conference rivals in the rematch. While the Nuggets failed to secure a win in that game, falling behind with a final score of 119-116, Denver guard Christian Braun had one of the best plays of the season.

Braun earned a poster dunk over four-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert and knocked down the two-handed slam that resulted in two technical fouls against him and Gobert.

This dunk went viral on social media, with several major sports channels posting the highlight.

Via NBA: “CHRISTIAN BRAUN DETONATION😱😱😱 COME TO ESPN FOR THE FINISH!”

Braun's teammates immediately ran to defend him after Gobert touched the 23-year-old guard. When deciding double technical fouls, the refereeing team did not award free throws to either team because the technicians neutralized each other.

“OH MYYYY DON’T JUMP WITH CB,” the Nuggets captioned their post on the dunk.

There has been excitement in the NBA world since this highlight for Braun, and even though the season is still very young, by the end of this season this dunk will likely be considered one of the best dunks of the year.
