Iowa High School Football Playoffs 2024: Round of 16 matchups, brackets for all 7 grades

Sixteen teams remain in the running for the state championship in each of Iowa's seven high school football divisions. The Iowa High School Athletic Association released updated postseason pairings Saturday morning.

The teams will be divided into four groups of four in each class for this phase. The winners of the November 1st games will play in the quarterfinals the following week. Those winners advance to the state semifinals at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, where they will be reseeded.

The Class 5A field was determined solely by RPI. District champions and runners-up in Classes 4A and 3A received automatic preliminary and overall qualifiers through RPI.

This is the second round of the postseason for 2A, 1A, A and 8-player teams. Here's a look at the results and other details of their first-round games on Friday night.

Here are the Round of 16 pairings and pods for each class. Unless otherwise stated, games begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 1st.
