In addition to a brand new story, countless quality of life improvements and new mechanics, Diablo IV: Vessel of Hate also adds a new multiplayer endgame activity, the Dark Citadel.

Here's everything you need to know to unlock this new 2-4 player dungeon.

What is the Dark Citadel?

The Dark Citadel is a difficult dungeon that requires coordination not Scale difficulty based on number of players. So it's easier the more companions you bring with you. However, the rewards are high, so it's worth diving deep into the hidden Khazra Fortress.

It is important to note that once this quest has been completed for a single character, all other characters will gain access to the Dark Citadel without having to complete the quest again.
