Sidney Crosby scored his second goal of the game at 2:35 of overtime to give the Pittsburgh Penguins a 2-1 win over the visiting Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night.

Crosby pushed his way to the top of the net and had time to wait for goaltender Lukas Dostal before pushing the puck high into the net for his third goal of the season. His only previous goal before Thursday was also the overtime winner on October 16 against the Buffalo Saves.

Alex Nedeljkovic made 22 saves for the Penguins, ending a six-game losing streak (0-5-1).

Alex Killorn scored a goal and Dostal made 44 saves for the Ducks, who were 1-2-1 in a four-game road trip.

Dostal, who entered the day with the NHL's best save percentage (.943) and fifth-best goals-against average (2.00), made 40 saves in a 3-1 road win over the New York Islanders on Tuesday.

Anaheim cutter Gauthier chased the puck in the corner of the Pittsburgh zone and passed to Trevor Zegras behind the net. He played a one-touch feed to Killorn, who was coming through the slot and scored on a one-timer for a 1-0 lead at 15:50 of the first period.

That score stood until Crosby scored at 1:47 of the third period.

Matt Grzelcyk fired a wrist shot from the left side that appeared to go wide, but Crosby stuck out the blade of his stick and the 37-year-old forward and 10-time All-Star redirected the puck between Dostal's pads, making it 1-0 – 1. Crosby has scored 23 career overtime goals, second most in NHL history behind Alex Ovechkin (26).

With less than two minutes left, Gauthier had an open side of the net, but his shot hit the back of Nedeljkovic and flew away.

Penguins forward Blake Lizotte made his team debut after recovering from a preseason concussion, playing 5:39.
