The Cavaliers greet LeBron and Bronny James with an elegant gesture before the game against the Lakers

The Cleveland Cavaliers will welcome back their former star and 2016 champion LeBron James on Wednesday night when they host the Los Angeles Lakers, but they didn't forget to give his son Bronny the VIP treatment too.

Young James is in his NBA rookie season, so it's not like he's played for the Cavaliers before. But Cleveland also included a photo of then-12-year-old Bronny outside the Lakers' locker room to welcome him back to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Bronny spent much of his childhood in Ohio while his father played for the Cavaliers for 11 seasons in two stints.

The image shows young James posing with the NBA trophy next to his father and Cavaliers teammate JR Smith. Now the father-son duo plays on the same NBA team.

The Cavaliers also included a photo of the elder James from that championship season. A picture of D'Angelo Russell was also posted – although he didn't play for the Cavaliers, he did play college basketball at Ohio State. They also included a photo of Lakers assistant coach Scott Brooks when he played a season in Cleveland.

It was a classic move all around by the Cavaliers to welcome their opponent.
