Bodybuilder and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger on Wednesday endorsed Kamala Harris for president, while legendary Apollo 11 astronaut Edwin Eugene “Buzz” Aldrin Jr. pledged his support to former President Trump.

The two supporters are only a few days away from election day, as both campaigns are stagnating in the battleground states for votes.

Schwarzenegger, 77, who served as the Republican governor of California from 2003 to 2011, said he was putting country above politics in handing him a presidential endorsement for the second time ever. In 2016, he supported former Ohio Governor John Kasich in that year's Republican presidential primary.

“To be honest: I don’t like either party at the moment. My Republicans have forgotten the beauty of the free market, running up deficits and rejecting election results. “The Democrats are no better at managing deficits, and I worry that their local policies could harm our cities through increased crime,” Schwarzenegger wrote in a lengthy post on X.

Schwarzenegger went on to rant about politicians' failure to pass “comprehensive immigration reform” and then turned his ire on former President Trump, calling on the country to “turn the tide” on the 45th president he says he “will not respect your voice.” unless it’s for him” and “will send his followers to storm the Capitol while he watches with a Diet Coke.”

“Rejecting the results of an election is as un-American as it gets,” he wrote.

“A candidate who has shown no ability to commit to passing any policy except a tax cut that has helped his donors and other rich people like me but no one else… a candidate who thinks that Americans who are not with “Whether Russia or North Korea – that will not solve our problems,” wrote Schwarzenegger, who is known for his roles in several “Terminator” franchise films.

“It will be just four more bull years — with no results that will make us increasingly angry, divided and hateful,” he wrote before expressing his support for the Harris-Walz ticket, without saying anything about their campaign or what policies he was pursuing supports.

The 94-year-old Aldrin, the second person to walk on the moon after mission commander Neil Armstrong, according to NASA, strongly supported Trump and praised the former president's efforts to make space exploration a “policy of high importance” and that his administration “has reignited the national effort to return to the Moon and continue to Mars.”

“The Trump Administration also relaunched the National Space Council, and our nation's defenses have been strengthened with the creation of the U.S. Space Force – increasingly important as space becomes a contested domain,” Aldrin wrote on X .

“At the same time, I was excited and thrilled by the great strides in the private space industry, led by visionaries like Elon Musk. These are concrete achievements that align with my concerns and America’s policy priorities.”

Aldrin said former President Trump is the candidate who has the right qualities to lead America, which faces “great and difficult challenges both at home and abroad.”

“The presidency requires clear judgment, determination and calm under pressure that few can naturally handle or have the life experience to tackle successfully. “It’s a job that involves making decisions that routinely affect American lives — some of them urgent, but not without thought,” Aldrin wrote.

“For me, for the future of our country, for meeting enormous challenges, and for the proven policy successes noted above, I believe we will be best served by voting for former President Trump. I fully support him for President of the United States. “Good luck, President.” Trump and God bless the United States of America.”

Aldrin's support was welcomed by the former president, who commented on the show of support at a rally in North Carolina on Wednesday.

“Buzz Aldrin, very respected, the great astronaut and highly respected. But I found it unusual,” Trump said, before noting that media outlets such as the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times have refused to make recommendations, which he said poses a problem with Vice President Harris' rejection.

But Buzz Aldrin is very interesting because he is a great astronaut… He is a very healthy man and great, looks fantastic.

“What he said was, 'I've never endorsed anyone in my life…This is the first time I've ever made an endorsement…I support Donald J. Trump.' Isn't that nice? Thanks, Buzz Aldrin. And I've always admired him too.
