The Golden State Warriors improved their season mark to 3-1 with a 124-106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Tuesday night.

With Warriors star Steph Curry sidelined with an ankle injury, Golden State needed someone else to step up offensively. Enter veteran Buddy Hield, who has been more than capable of becoming a microwave scorer throughout his career. On Tuesday night, he had his most impressive game so far in his short tenure with the Warriors.

Hield scored a team-high 28 points, including 25 in the second half and 19 in the fourth quarter. He scored a game-high seven three-pointers.

What was the catalyst for Hield's offensive explosion? Some halftime advice from TNT's Reggie Miller.

“He told me to shoot the blind ball,” Hield said with a smile after the game. “Sometimes you need someone like that to come to you, and I responded well to that.”

The Warriors would certainly like to see more of this type of offensive production from Hield in the future.

Golden State is back in action on Wednesday night with a back-to-back rematch against the Pelicans.
