NEW YORK (AP) — Two fans at Yankee Stadium were ejected from Game 4 of the World Series after one picked a foul ball out of the glove of Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts on Tuesday night.

A league spokesperson told The Athletic that the fan who pulled the ball from Betts' glove and the man sitting next to him were ejected following the incident.

Betts jumped the wall in foul territory and initially caught Gleyber Torres' popup in the first inning, but a fan in the front row wearing a gray Yankees away jersey grabbed Betts' glove with both hands and pulled the ball out. Torres was immediately called out for fan interference.

The Yankees won the game 11-4, forcing Game 5, which will be played Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium. The Dodgers lead the series 3-1.

It was the second time in this World Series that Torres had a hit marred by fan interference. With two outs in the ninth inning of Game 1 at Dodger Stadium, Torres hit a fly ball to left field, and a fan reached out and caught the ball. Torres got a double.

The Dodgers, one win away from their second title in five years, had a 2-0 lead at the time of the incident on Freddie Freeman's two-run home run in the first off Luis Gil.
