Raiders news: Raiders QB Carter Bradley has been activated from the practice squad

1 minute, 7 seconds Read

The Las Vegas Raiders upgraded the quarterback position this week. Aidan O'Connell's injury led the Raiders to sign Desmond Ridder from the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad. It was announced that he would be the backup player behind Gardner Minshew this week.

Ridder was brought in for insurance as Minshew had been struggling recently. He leads the league with ten turnovers, tied with sophomore quarterback Will Levis. If Minshew continues to struggle, we could see Ridder sooner rather than later.

While Minshew remains the starting quarterback, the Raiders are making sure they have three quarterbacks ready. Carter Bradley and tight end Justin Shorter were called up from the practice squad for the first time this season.

Bradley is the son of Gus Bradley, the defensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts. He went undrafted by South Alabama and went 17/34 with one touchdown and one interception in the preseason.

Bradley could be inactive for Sunday's game, but his activation could mean there is a short list for the position.

  • Mark Davis is not trading Maxx Crosby: Davis didn't seem happy about the Crosby trade rumors and emailed ESPN.
  • Desmond Ridder takes the opportunity: Ridder is excited about the opportunity after playing on three teams in a year.
  • TDL movie preview vs Kansas City Chiefs: Tape Don't Lie previews the Chiefs' offense and defense.
