Quinn Ewers'The first round was an INT, then he hit 18 in a row. Then the second half was a roller coaster ride. Jaydon Blue flashed while Tre Wisner slashed. Anthony Hill Jr. played incredibly. The defensive line held firm.

The Horns had plenty of presence in Nashville this weekend, but Diego Pavia's heroics and OL penalties couldn't be surpassed either. There's a lot of work to do for the bye week. A lot.

Here's what players said after UT's third ranked win of 2024, tied for the most with Oregon.

On the two tipped-ball interceptions that led to 14 Vanderbilt points:

“I mean, in the position I play, you have to be able to eliminate things like that. For the most part, they are out of your control.”

On the Texas fans everywhere in the crowd in Nashville:

“I am so proud of Longhorn Nation. I appreciate you all. If you all listen, you will move forward. It makes a big difference for us.”

To the burnt orange fans throughout the stadium in Nashville:

“It's just great to see that no matter where we travel, we have a sea of burnt orange everywhere we go. This is about what this team means to people who are fans of ours, but also about the fact that we can count on them when we needed them most. It really felt like a home game.”
