The Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons have both begun their return to the playoffs after multi-year droughts, and this season their games will be played on a different platform. Well, sort of.

Bally Sports has renamed itself FanDuel Sports Network as part of a years-long bankruptcy dispute with Diamond Sports Group, which owns 16 regional sports networks, including in Detroit.

As you may have noticed, this means that “Bally Sports Detroit” now appears on screens as “FanDuel Sports Network Detroit.”

The good news is that this shouldn't change your ability to watch your favorite teams.

Streaming platform Fubo has partnered with regional streaming services, including FanDuel Sports Network Detroit, to stream NHL games and NBA games.

Anyone can sign up for Fubo and access games across their region's regional sports network without the need for an additional FanDuel Sports account.

It should be an exciting season for both the Pistons and Red Wings as there appears to be an upward trend for both teams playing at Little Caesars Arena.

The Pistons were of course the worst team in the NBA last season and in franchise history at 14:68, but were able to prevail by firing their general manager Troy Weaver and head coach Monty Williams. They brought in Trajan Langdon as the new president of basketball operations and JB Bickerstaff as the new coach.

Meanwhile, the Red Wings finished last season significantly better than the Pistons, narrowly missing the playoffs on the final day, but weren't quite as busy in the offseason. But that doesn't mean GM Steve Yzerman was quiet, as the team's former captain signed a few contracts, handed out some new contract extensions and even signed veteran winger Vladimir Tarasenko.
