The Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball team has gone back into “dominance” mode. The Huskers Beat the Illinois Fighting Illini For the second time this season. And for the second time this season, they made it in straight sets. It's also the second time this month.

NU won the first match on October 3 by three sets to nil. Similar to tonight, there was one set where the Illini managed to fight back. But like tonight, even though they fought back, they lost. Earlier this month it was 25-18, 25-22, 25-17. Tonight the score was 25-17, 25-19, 28-26.

It has been a full two weeks for the Nebraska Cornhuskers since their set loss. That's four games in which there were three sets to zero. It was also the 16th win in a row.

The game was the second – and possibly last – college game in which sisters Bergen Reilly (Nebraska) and Raegen Reilly (Illinois) played against each other.

When Raegen Reilly first entered the game at the start of the first set, she received a huge ovation and family members took video of her entering the court against her sister in Lincoln. Just last year, Raegen Reilly was a spectator at the Devaney Center for five games to support her sister.

With the win, the Huskers retain their share of first place in the Big Ten as they are 19-1 on the season and 9-0 in the conference. They'll look to come into the game at 10-0 tomorrow night when the Nebraska Cornhuskers take on the Michigan Wolverines (16-4, 6-3). A surprising loss for SMU is NU is the only flaw so far this year.
