Early Game Day Thread: Anchors Away, Hoosiers?

1 minute, 26 seconds Read

Maybe start your game day by sleeping in a little. Maybe you're working your way through a honey-do list that reads like “War and Peace.” Wherever we find you this morning, know that you're in for a great afternoon of college football. The early list of games looks like this:

12 p.m. | Nebraska at No. 4 Ohio State (FOX)

Nebraska had a real success story before it fell into the buzzsaw that is… undefeated Indiana football last week.

12 p.m. | No. 12 Notre Dame vs. No. 24 Navy (ABC)

It might be time to talk about “playoff contender Navy.” The Midshipmen play great football and are a lot of fun to watch. They face the Irish in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in a game that looks set to be far more competitive than anyone expected in the preseason.

12 p.m.| Washington at No. 13 Indiana (Big Ten Network)

Imagine going from playing for a national championship to polishing the resume of the national title contender Indiana Hoosiers in 10 short months. Life comes at you fast.

12 p.m. | Oklahoma at No. 18 Ole Miss (ESPN)

The Sooners fired their offensive coordinator seven games into his first season, in case you want to know how their SEC journey is progressing.

12 p.m. | Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech (ACC Network)

A bunch of smart kids watching stupid football. That's the summary here.

12 p.m. | North Carolina and Virginia | (CW)

The Cavaliers were unusually competent at times in 2024 and Mack Brown looked unusually tired. This one causes a surprise.

So enjoy your niece's soccer game or go to the farmers market to buy homemade pumpkin. The 'Dawgs are gathering hatred and energy for Jacksonville, and they deserve a break.

Come on buddy!!!
