Wild rally to beat Lightning 4-2 for fourth straight win

The Lightning did challenge whether the Wild were offside, but video review determined Rossi had possession and control of the puck before entering the offensive zone, so the goal counted. Rossi has the best point streak of his career with six games.

The Wild's seven consecutive games in which they scored the first point tied the franchise record for points scored in a season, and they are also just the fourth team in the last 20 years to do so in each of their first seven games scored first goal.

Goalkeeper Marc-Andre Fleury maintained the lead for the remainder of the period, making 12 of his 23 saves in the first game in his first appearance since the second game of the season on October 12.

“It’s been a long break,” Fleury said. “I maybe felt a little rusty at first, but it's good to get some shots early and make some saves to get into the game.”

Fleury had been idle while Filip Gustavsson compiled a 4-0-1 record with a .952 save percentage and 1.40 goals against average, and Fleury was feeling the pressure to keep the Wild's momentum going. The Wild were still without Ryan Hartman (upper-body injury) and captain Jared Spurgeon (lower-body injury), but Spurgeon will meet the team in Philadelphia.

“I want to help,” Fleury said. “I want to help the team as much as I can. Sometimes it's not easy to wait a while, but Gus plays great. He won a lot. That's all you can ask for. So I just try to work hard in training and stay ready.”
