2024 Election Updates: Early in-person voting begins in Michigan

Former President Donald Trump sat down for three hours on the Joe Rogan podcast Friday night for a casual conversation about topics ranging from the economy to the environment to the challenges of the upcoming election, and he took advantage of the opportunity , to re-provoke the 2020 election and partly blame judges for his failure to overturn the 2020 election results.

Trump got into an argument with Rogan when Rogan asked why Trump hadn't released comprehensive evidence of fraud that he claims took place in 2020. Trump said he did so, but falsely argued that he lost because the justices “didn’t have what it took.”

“The judges don’t want to touch it. “They would say you have no standing,” Trump said. “They did not decide on the merits.” They decided that the merits were never achieved. The judges didn’t have what it took to decide an election.”

Trump again pushed for single-day voting and paper ballots, stoking fears about voting machines as people go to the polls.

“Right now we have the most sophisticated machine going into the sky. “It's going back and forth all over the place and they're saying we need two weeks to find out who the hell won the election,” Trump said. “Without paper ballots, it can never be an honest election.” That’s a big statement. We should move to paper voting.”

Trump also said Harris should lose the election because Democrats didn't hold a primary and elect Gov. Tim Walz as vice president.
