The best Ashton Jeanty bets and picks for Boise State vs. UNLV tonight

The best Ashton Jeanty bets and picks for Boise State vs. UNLV tonight

2 minutes, 40 seconds Read

Boise State and UNLV have a better chance of making the College Football Playoff than any other five-team team. This means that tonight's match is an unofficial CFP elimination game.

The focus is on the Broncos' superstar, RB Ashton Jeanty. The Heisman hopeful's stats are staggering, and I want to highlight two of my top Aston Jeanty bets for Boise State against UNLV.

When I write player support prediction articles, I usually focus on players from both teams. However, this time Jeanty is in the spotlight because his bet totals and odds are incredible.

Expert Ashton Jeanty is making prop bets for Boise State vs. UNLV

  • 2+ touchdowns: -145 at DraftKings
  • Over 190.5 rushing yards: -115 at Fanatics

Jeanty scores more than 2 touchdowns

Best odds: -145 at DraftKings

You can get odds of +205 at DraftKings if you want to take a chance and bet on Jeanty to score 3+ touchdowns. Ashton has found the end zone three or more times in four of six games.

Having an RB like Jeanty opens up opportunities for Boise State QB Maddux Madsen, who ranks third in the Mountain West with 12 touchdowns. Ashton has 18 touchdowns and is clearly the Broncos' favorite player in the red zone.

However, there is a chance that the UNLV defense will get too involved with Jeanty, giving Madsen an opportunity to throw a few more touchdowns. So I play it safe and take Jeanty to find the end zone twice.

The Jacksonville native has scored multiple touchdowns in all but one game. The breakout came when Boise State beat Portland State 56-14 with Jeanty scoring just 11 runs.

UNLV's defense ranks 20th nationally against the rush. The Rebels give up the fewest average points in the Mountain West and allow 3.4 yards per carry.

However, UNLV hasn't been tested on the field much, as the 6-1 Rebels have picked up a handful of blowout victories. Four of UNLV's seven wins have come by 16 or more points.

The Rebels have blocked the second-fewest rushing attempts in the conference. Given the implications of tonight's game for the Mountain West championship and the CFP, the Rebels can expect Jeanty to carry the rock early and often.

Over 190.5 rushing yards

Best odds: -115 at Fanatics

UNLV has the second-best offense that Boise State will face this season. The only team ahead of the Rebels is No. 1 Oregon.

UNLV scores 44 points per game and has a tremendous rushing attack. When the Rebels move the ball on long, time-consuming drives, Jeanty has less time to surpass his rushing yards mark.

Alternatively, if UNLV keeps the game close, it could help Jeanty reach his rushing total.

The Broncos have won four games by at least 21 points. Jeanty was underutilized in some of these matches because there was no reason to leave him in and risk injury.

UNLV is an outstanding team and I expect this game to go to the finish. Oddsmakers are expecting a close matchup due to the three-point margin favoring Boise State.

Jeanty should see playing time in all four quarters and I predict he will rush for 190.5 yards.

Ashton was held under 190 yards just twice. Boise State won both games by a landslide, and Jeanty didn't play all four quarters.
