Naomi Campbell has broken her silence on the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend Liam Payne at the age of 31.

The British supermodel, 54, dated the late One Direction star for four months in 2019, when she was 48 and he was 25.

On Friday, the runway icon took to social media to comment on her friend Nicole Scherzinger's Instagram post paying tribute to the pop star who fell to her death from the third-floor balcony of a hotel room in Argentina.

Scherzinger, who was a celebrity judge on “X Factor” when Payne entered the competition in 2010, wrote a heartfelt message to the late singer.

Campbell kept her message short, commenting on the Pussycat Dolls star's post, “🕊️💔🕊️🙏🏾.”

Campbell, who was 23 years his senior during their brief romance, exchanged some flirty messages with the “Strip That Down” singer in January 2019.

“Perfection in a human… don't give me those eyes,” Payne commented on one of her social media posts, to which she replied, “Beautiful soul.”

Later that month, the duo attended a concert together for Nigerian artist Davido in London. The following month, they were spotted having dinner in Ghana.

It is not clear whether Campbell has kept in touch with Payne in recent years. However, Scherzinger reportedly exchanged messages with Payne on the same day he fell to his death on October 16.

“I will forever cherish and cherish the time we spent together, from fifteen years ago when One Direction was born to just a few weeks ago,” the “Buttons” hitmaker wrote in part. “It is so hard to process that you are no longer here, but I am grateful to have known your kind heart, sweet soul and character.”

The model kept her message short, choosing to share four emojis in the comments section of Scherzinger's post.

Payne, who had a toxic mixture of drugs in his body, died instantly from the severe internal and external injuries he sustained in the fall.

In addition to pink cocaine, also known as Tusi – a combination of methamphetamine, ketamine and ecstasy – drugs found in his bloodstream during toxicology tests also included benzodiazepines, crack cocaine and cocaine.

A makeshift aluminum tube for ingesting the substances was also found nearby, ABC News reported.

His distraught father, Geoff Payne, was warned he would have to wait up to ten days to get permission to bring his son's body home.

On Thursday, police searched the hotel room where Payne was staying at the time of his death. Cops are reportedly looking for “new information” about the hotel’s employees.

The hotel “must” provide more security camera footage from October 16th.

As part of the raid, officers searched for documents in Casa Sur's registration books as well as information stored in the computers.
