Some needed showers today, but it's a nice weekend ahead

Necessary rainfall fell across parts of the area this morning and some showers could continue into the early afternoon. However, the trend is for the chance of rain to decrease from north to south by the afternoon. For most it will be a cloudy but dry evening.

The weekend will be seasonal, with temperatures in the 60s on both Saturday and Sunday. The sky will initially be partly cloudy on Saturday and then become mostly sunny. Sunday offers plenty of sunshine from start to finish. However, it starts off cool on Sunday with temperatures around 30 degrees.

If you drive to IU for the game tomorrow, it will be chilly at first as you get close, but as the game progresses it should warm up to the low 60s.

Next week temperatures will rise back to near 80°, leading to record temperatures on Jeopardy Tuesday and Wednesday.
