Luka Doncic threw an absolutely ridiculous pass over Victor Wembanyama in the Mavs win

The Dallas Mavericks started their season on Thursday night with a 120-109 win over the San Antonio Spurs. Luka Doncic had a tough shooting night but still managed 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.

And let's talk about one of these assists. In the third quarter, Doncic collected a rebound and raced down the court with Chris Paul on his hip and Victor Wembanyama on his right. When Paul let him go to the basket, Wembanyama closed it and prepared to protect the rim.

Then Luka jumped up, turned away from the basket and threw a pass over his head and back through Wembanyama's arms to PJ Washington in the corner. It wasn't a perfect pass, but he threw the pass back 25 feet over his head without really looking – so we'll give it a pass.

Aside from Klay Thompson hitting six three-pointers in his Mavericks debut, Doncic should continue to feel comfortable throwing ridiculous passes this season.
