    Epic Universe opening day tickets sold out for annual pass holders just hours after they went on sale

    One-day tickets for Epic Universe's grand opening day are sold out for Annual Passholders when they go on sale Thursday morning.

    Tickets went on sale at 5 a.m. ET. At 6:30 a.m., passholders seeking to purchase day passes were greeted with the message that day passes for opening day, May 22, 2025, were currently unavailable. Ticket sales were also temporarily suspended at this time.

    Tickets for the grand opening day were $156, the same price as several other days in May and June. Prices Friday through Monday after opening are $164 each, the highest price in the first month and a half.

    Universal also warned passholders that there would be “longer wait times than expected” due to high demand. At 8 a.m. our estimated wait time was “more than an hour,” with the website giving an ETA of 3:08 p.m

    As of 8:02 a.m., Universal shared a message that passholders should allow an extended period of time to receive their order confirmation.

    Tickets for Epic Universe 2025 went on sale to the general public on October 22, but only as part of multi-day tickets for Universal Orlando Resort. Passholders are currently the only guests eligible to purchase 1-day Epic Universe tickets. Universal announced that they intend to introduce annual pass options that include Epic Universe at a later date. There will also be soft openings for passholders, but details have not yet been announced. Reservations are also available for the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, the Epic Universe Hotel located in the park.

    The new Universal Orlando Resort theme park will include five lands: Dark Universe (featuring Universal Monsters), How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World and Celestial Park.
