SEC Network host urges Alabama fans to be patient with Kalen DeBoer: 'Don't go too crowded, Auburn'

Alabama is the talk of college football right now, but not for the normal reasons Crimson Tide fans are used to. The team has lost two of its last three games and suffered two defeats before November for the first time since 2007.

As you can imagine, Alabama fans are panicking and wondering if Kalen DeBoer is really the right man for the job. SEC Network host Peter Burns is telling Crimson Tide fans not to overreact and stole a line from Aaron Rodgers when he told them what to do.

“Bama fans, relax. Relax, okay,” Burns continued SEC this morning. “What I see happening right now is that Alabama fans are almost turning against Kalen DeBoer. Don't they remember what happened to Nick Saban in his first year? Don’t you even remember Saban as a three-loss sophomore?”

Burns cited Alabama's biggest rival as an example for people to relax and not make rash decisions.

“What doomed the other university in this state in the SEC, Auburn, is that they weren't happy for a fan base,” Burns said. “It has impacted recruiting, it has impacted the transfer portal and so much more. Don't go full on Auburn, because it took them a decade to get it sort of right, and I don't think they still are now. Relax a little, Kalen DeBoer will be fine.”
