At the time, he shared a long Instagram story announcing their breakup. Shortly after, LaPaglia released her own social media statement, claiming she was “blindsided” by his note. In a YouTube video, she further discussed her breakup and then shared that she was taking a short break from the internet.

“How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then have it thrown away in a few days,” she wondered in the clip. “It’s really, really heartbreaking and I don’t want to talk about details right now.”
