LeBron James says walking into the game with his son Bronny was a “moment I'll never forget.”

Unprecedented history was made in Los Angeles on Tuesday night when LeBron James and his son Bronny stepped onto the NBA court together.

It was the first time in NBA history that a father-son duo were active NBA players at the same time, let alone on the same team.

Bronny, USC's 55th pick, entered the game for the first time with about four minutes left in the first half – and his father, beginning his 22nd season in the NBA, right next to him.

“That moment when we sat at the scorer’s table together and reported together, that’s a moment I’ll never forget,” said LeBron. “No matter how old I get, no matter how much my memory fades as I get older or whatever, I will never forget this moment.”

It was a brief moment on the floor between these two, but cheers erupted throughout the Crypto.com Arena as they made history on Tuesday night.

There was also a moment where LeBron made a pass to Bronny on the wing for a three-pointer, but his first shot in the NBA missed. The audience's reaction was a collective sigh, waiting with bated breath for this duo's first points.

Bronny grabbed one rebound in his three minutes on the floor.

“(I) tried not to focus on everything that was going on around me and tried to focus on coming in as a freshman and not trying to screw everything up,” Bronny said. “But yeah, I really felt the energy and I appreciate Laker Nation for supporting me and my dad.”

“I talked about this many years ago, and for the moment to come, it’s pretty cool,” LeBron said. “I don't know if it'll actually affect either of us for a quick minute, but when we can really sit back and take it in, it's pretty crazy. … But at the moment we still had a task. “We didn't try to make it a circus, we wanted to make it about the team.

Ken Griffey Sr. and Ken Griffey Jr., who were teammates with the MLB's Seattle Mariners, were also in attendance.

It remains to be seen how long the younger Bronny will stay on the professional roster, as he could certainly use some time in the G League. At USC, he averaged less than five points per game, although cardiac arrest last summer slowed his development.
