Wilmington is expected to reach 80 degrees on Tuesday, with the record set in 1975 and 1979 standing at 81 degrees. A temperature of 81 degrees is forecast for Georgetown on Tuesday. The record from 1979 and 2020 is 83 degrees. So it's possible that several records will be broken on Tuesday.

Delaware nearly set a record on Monday. The high temperature in Wilmington was 82 degrees, and the record is 85 degrees, set in 1947. In Georgetown, the high temperature was 80 degrees. The record, set in 1947, 1984 and 2020, is 83 degrees.
