Ricky Pearsall makes first NFL catch weeks after being shot in the chest

Ricky Pearsall made his emotional return to the field on Sunday … he played his first NFL game after taking a bullet to the chest in a suspected robbery attempt — and he just made his first catch.

The 49ers wide receiver threw a pass moments ago in his first career game against the Kansas City Chiefs, which he tackled after a gain of just six yards.

There's not much special about the typical NFL wide receiver… but Pearsall's journey is anything but typical – as you know, Pearsall ended up in the hospital after police identified a man shot him while trying to steal his Rolex in San Francisco.

According to police, the incident occurred on August 31 at around 3:30 in the afternoon in Union Square, hours after RP attended an autograph session.
