A Steelers big man thinks Justin Fields should remain Pittsburgh's starting quarterback.

Terry Bradshaw weighed in on the debate over whether the Steelers should give up the starting job to Russell Wilson or stick with Fields on Sunday night when they host the Jets.

The greatest quarterback in Steelers history backed Fields when TMZ asked him who the Week 7 starter should be.

“In my opinion, he played well enough to keep the job,” Bradshaw said when approached by a TMZ reporter in Los Angeles.

Fields is having the best season of his career in Pittsburgh after a tumultuous tenure with the Bears, who selected him with the No. 3 overall pick in 2021.

“I’m going to stick with Fields,” Bradshaw said. “I think he played really well. He’s such a great athlete, he can throw, and I think he just fits in with the team he has right now.”

In six starts this season with the Steelers, Fields has led the team to a 4-2 record, recording 106 completions and five touchdowns.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is weighing options on who to start – with Wilson getting first-team reps this week – heading into this weekend's game against Gang Green, but Fields told reporters Thursday he could play better.

“If I’m honest, I don’t think I played well enough,” he told reporters. If I’m honest with myself, if I played well enough, I don’t think there should be anyone who should play and who shouldn’t.”

Both quarterbacks were signed in the offseason with the plan to use Wilson as the starter, but an injury forced the Steelers to change their plans.

Now Fields is preparing for every possible outcome this weekend, including supporting Wilson this week.

“At the end of the day I'm just doing my job and whether that's playing, helping the guys on the sideline, telling him what I see, helping the rest when they're out there. “So just little things like that,” he said, according to NFL Network.
