D-Backs, Braves and Mets playoff race

D-Backs, Braves and Mets playoff race

2 minutes, 43 seconds Read

The Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Mets and Atlanta Braves entered Sunday with near-simultaneous games and multiple opportunities to clinch one of the final two remaining NL Wild Card spots.

It is the D-Backs' final game of the 2024 regular season against the San Diego Padres.

The Mets (87-72) face the Milwaukee Brewers and the Braves (88-71) play the Kansas City Royals before facing each other in a makeup doubleheader on Monday.

Arizona (88-73) needs a win and losses to New York and Atlanta to clinch a playoff spot on Sunday.

A Diamondbacks loss and a Mets win would eliminate Arizona ahead of Monday's New York-Atlanta games.

The D-Backs can win on Monday and clinch the title if the Mets lose at least two of three or if the Braves lose.

We'll be watching all three games live in Arizona, New York and Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. This post was last updated at 2:16 p.m. MST.
