Watch the full 2024 race – NBC Chicago

NOTE: A live stream of the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon will appear in the player above beginning at 7 a.m. Tune in live to see full race coverage and a finish line camera showing runners crossing the finish line.

The 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon has begun – and viewers can live stream everything from start to finish.

Coverage of the Chicago Marathon began at 7 a.m. and can be viewed in the player above, as well as on NBC 5, NBC Chicago's YouTube channel, and on NBC Chicago's 24/7 streaming channel, NBC 5 Chicago News .

An exclusive finish camera will be broadcast on NBCChicago.com and the NBC 5 Chicago News Streaming Channel from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. so runners' friends and family can watch live as they complete the marathon.

Spanish-language coverage of the race can be found on TelemundoChicago.com and the Telemundo Chicago app.

Where is the start line of the Chicago Marathon?

The starting line of the Chicago Marathon is located in Grant Park at the intersection of Columbus Drive and Monroe Street.

Where is the Chicago Marathon finish line?

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon finish line is in Grant Park on Columbus Drive, south of Balbo Drive. Spectators are not allowed to greet runners at the finish line, but can line up early to get a good viewing spot in a Bank of America cheer zone.

The race begins and ends in Grant Park, but extends just beyond downtown, passing through 29 neighborhoods and some of Chicago's most famous streets.

The 26.2-mile hike takes runners across six Chicago River bridges and stretches from Sheridan Road in the north to 35th Street in the south.

Follow a runner live

For spectators trying to catch a glimpse of a friend or family member along the 26.2-mile route, it can be difficult to see exactly where they are. That's why spectators and supporters can follow the runners live via the marathon's mobile app.

Runners and fans can download the app here for iPhone and here for Android or search for “Bank of America Chicago Marathon” in the Apple and Google Play stores.

To add registered participants to their tracking list, users can search for their name and add them to their favorites. Users can track up to 20 runners through the app, which also includes an interactive course map, event schedule and race photos.
