Package pickup will be in Delano on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be no package pickup on race day.

Wichita police will be guarding all major intersections and volunteers will be out and about in neighborhoods.

The roads will be closed from 6am. In some areas, only one side of the street will be closed to a walking lane.

Parking is available near the stadium and across the river at the Hyatt downtown. Runners should arrive at least 90 minutes before their race to find parking and run to the start line.

Kevin Jenks, the race director, said the course was changed this year to create a more exciting atmosphere at the finish line.

“A lot of times in our races there are people who have finished the race, but there are a lot more runners coming through,” Jenks said. “We wanted to create that environment, that atmosphere that made the runners feel great. There are a lot of people cheering me on at the finish line. That was the main reason for it. It’s certainly attractive that Riverfront Stadium is downtown.”

Jenks said volunteers are still needed for Sunday's races.
