NEW YORK (WABC) – According to the FBI, more than 2,000 poll workers nationwide were threatened.

There are no major threats to voters or poll workers in the Tri-State area.

There will be two NYPD officers at every polling location in New York City.

Officers were told to remain vigilant and watch for election disruptions or violence.

Outside the city, each local county election board has coordinated security plans with law enforcement.

New York State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Commissioner Jackie Bray said voting systems had been tested and antivirus software installed.

“I'm really confident that we won't see any violence in our elections,” Bray said. “I want New Yorkers to know that if there are disruptions at the polls, people are prepared to respond. We have set up two operations centers and will monitor things nationwide.”

Authorities ask anyone who discovers a problem to report it to 311 or your local county elections office.
