“I think what happens is once you start dictating the tempo and conditions, then you force your opponent to play a little differently and you have them on your heels,” Fipp said.

4. In his first game without Aidan Hutchinson, Glenn was much more aggressive in his blitzing game as we saw Detroit's blitz rate spike against the Vikings. Is that sustainable?

“At the end of the day, I like blitzing,” Glenn said Thursday.

He believes the size and experience they have at linebacker provides a matchup advantage over the running backs, and he plans to continue to do that with blitzes. The fact that he has a lot of confidence in the secondary defense behind the blitz also plays a role.

5. If the Lions don't have Jameson Williams on Sunday, Johnson doesn't seem to be too worried about it. He has been trying to get Caliph Raymond more involved in recent weeks and that will accelerate if Williams is unavailable. Johnson said Raymond is the best of all the receivers they have with his releases at the line of scrimmage and his speed can be a weapon for them.
